Product Description

Lion Brand Homespun is a wonderful acrylic, Polyster yarn with a textured ripple. It's a chunky weight yarn, but it knits and crochets very lightly and because of the ripple finish, the simplest stitch looks fantastic! A wonderful crochet yarn, this is perfect for blankets and shawls, and there are so many colours to choose from! Solid, classic colours, some beautiful heathered shades and Lion Brand's "painterly" shades, which are variegated blends of colour that subtly self stripe as you knit or crochet. Knits up on 6mm needles or a 6.5mm hook.

I am pleased to order this yarn, I have been knitting shawls for 14 years and this is my go to yarn. Too many of the colors have been discontinued. My goal was to knit a shawl from every color that Homespun had produced. So far I have used 72 colors. This yarn is so soft and colorful and the finished product is well received. Finding the yarn as well as a selection is a major challenge.

Always what you wanted.

I'm about 2/3 through a cardigan, working up really quickly, lovely stuff to work with (although it can sort of clump up on itself if you hold it too tightly, due to the nature of the yarn). I've done the two fronts, the back and half a sleeve and it feels and looks great.

Great selection, superior customer service

I bought this yarn to knit a duplicate of a hat that I made six years ago. This yarn does not withstand heavy use. Eventually, the fibers stretch out of shape and form a dense 'halo' around the garment. That said, the color variegations are wonderful and they do not fade with repeated hand washing. Also, this chunky boucle yarn is VERY stiff. Prepare for a bit of a workout, even on large needles.
