Knitting wool for gloves
Lovely to knit with, very cosy and knits up quickly as it's an aran weight. The colours are so subtle and the wool is soft. Very good for a pair of gloves.
I think it's lovely wool and the colour I bought is beautiful but I don't understand why it is described as aran and for 5mm needles, when actually it really needs 6mm needles and is therefore more of a chunky. When knitted on 5mm it comes up quite stiff.

I purchased Rowan felted tweed aran weight yarn to knit hats. The pattern I am using is a Churchmouse Classics Boyfriend Watch Cap, which I purchased on line. The pattern recommended the Rowan yarn. I really like the yarn. I love tweeds. The yarn holds true to it's name, it does appear felted. One more thing, I ordered skacel bamboo needles. I love them! I had not used this brand of needles before.
