There was also sufficient quantity for me to make two fringed plant holders, which I wasn't expecting. I will certainly be buying some more so that I can continue with my macrame projects. I crocheted a bag with this and it come out lovely. Really sturdy and hardwearing. The yarn crocheted well, the only complaint was that the yarn could split a times but it wasn't an issue really. Love the look of it about to start another bag in the pale yellow.
I purchased this because I am making bags for xmas presents and the crochet pattern I am using called for 8mm (UK) sized hooks. The cotton is much thicker than expected and as it's not coated it quite hard on the hands to use. I had to buy a metal hook which made it easier. It is very heavy duty and actually perfect for what I need. It crochet's up very nicely (even using such a large hook) making the bag is very robust. I would recommend it for this type of project but would make a week...

This is a great thick cotton - made a tote back with it. It can be hard on the hands, though, so take breaks.
I used this yarn to knit chunky cushions. I was pleased with the colours the results but did find that the yarn twisted and tangled in use.
