Product Description
This is a PATTERN for a crochet jellyfish, made in 3 colors with an embroidered yarn face, and 15 tentacles - all but 3 are join as you go, so no excessive time spent sewing parts together. With a G/4.25mm hook and worsted weight yarn, my jellyfish came out about 7" long and 3" wide at the head. Gauge is not important for this project, as long as the stitches are tight enough to hold stuffing- your jellyfish may come out a slightly different size.

Jellyfish Crochet Toy Pattern
What Is Being Made
The Jellyfish is an amigurumi-style crocheted toy designed by High Fiber Designs (creator Kimberly Anne). This intermediate-level crochet project creates a three-dimensional stuffed jellyfish figure, perfect for decorative display or as a handmade gift. The design incorporates multiple yarn colors to create visual interest and dimension in the finished piece.
Crochet Techniques and Construction
This pattern employs fundamental amigurumi construction methods, which involve crocheting in the round to build three-dimensional forms. The jellyfish is created by working through both loops of the previous row in standard crochet fashion, unless the pattern specifically directs otherwise. The toy is worked in US crochet terminology and requires stuffing to achieve its characteristic rounded, dimensional shape. Assembly involves combining separately crocheted sections and securing them with a yarn needle.
Stitches Used
While the PDF excerpt does not enumerate every individual stitch, the pattern utilizes standard crochet stitches appropriate for amigurumi construction. Typical stitches in this category include single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet, worked in continuous rounds or rows to form the body and tentacle sections of the jellyfish.
