The Lowery workstand is perfect for holding embroidery while working. It means both hands are free. The swivel feature means the back is easily reached for whatever needs to be done back there. The arm swings away so that one may move one's work out of the way until the next stitching session. The clamp is sturdy, and the stand is easy to use.
This stand is wonderful! I've been counted cross stitching for almost 50 years, sure wish I had this years ago! The stand is as solid as a rock. I can put a long piece on a frame and attach the frame to the stand. From one end of the frame to the other the tension stays tight and the stand holds it steady.

The frame holds my 36” scroll frame securely. I love that the frame can be easily angled to make stitching easier and that it can be easily swung to the side when I need to get up.
This is probably the best thing since sliced bread in a bag. Durable, light enough to easily move around and take with me if I want to travel with it. I'll never go back to holding my projects again. I may buy a second one to keep in my home office so I can stitch in between calls.
This is so cleverly designed, it is easy to adjust, move out the the way, change the angle ... and now I embroider with one hand in the back that stays there. It's faster, but more importantly it allows a comfortable rhythm to the work of it.
