Product Description
The Phoenix Cowl is inspired by the phoenix a mythical creature. I hand dyed some yarn and its colors reminded me of the fiery beautiful creature and I really wanted to design a simple but textured accesory for all seasons.

What Is Being Made
The Phoenix Cowl is a knitted neck accessory inspired by the mythical phoenix bird, a creature symbolizing transformation and renewal through fire. Craft and Technique Overview
This project is a knitting design suitable for beginners
Yarn: Size 4 Light Worsted Weight yarn in quantities of 100-150 yards total. The pattern accommodates multiple yarn weights including DK, Sport, and Worsted weights, allowing crafters flexibility in yarn selection. Note that thicker yarn will produce a larger finished cowl. Needles and Notions: One 5mm circular needle for primary knitting, one 10mm circular or straight needle used strategically throughout the pattern to create texture variation, one button for closure, and one needle for finishing. Gauge: Gauge is noted as not critically important for this project, though awareness of how yarn weight affects the final cowl size is recommended. The Phoenix Cowl pattern provides specific instructions for when to alternate between the 5mm and 10mm needles to achieve the intended textured appearance. The pattern includes abbreviations and references instructional video tutorials for techniques like the Knit Front and Back stitch, making it accessible for beginners seeking visual guidance.Stitches and Techniques Used
