Product Description
The pattern is completely free and it will stay like that FOREVER. :)
It is super easy to follow and perfect for beginners as it doesn't use a lot of different stitches. It's also easily adjustable too to make it any size you want.
I created this mini CAL just for fun, to keep your mind off of everyday problems for a bit, to help you get relaxed and get lost in the journey of creating something nice.
You can use any kind of DK yarn, you can change color anytime you want, it's totally up to you. :) I will publish the pattern the way I made the color changes but you don't have to follow that order.
I hope you will have fun creating this blanket!
Happy Crocheting!

Tropical Sunset Baby Blanket mini CAL by K.A.M.E. Crochet
Project Overview
The Tropical Sunset Baby Blanket mini CAL is a beginner-friendly crochet blanket design created by K.A.M.E. Crochet (Krisztina Anna Matejcsok-Edomer). This downloadable PDF pattern produces a finished blanket measuring 28 inches by 40 inches (71 centimeters by 102 centimeters), making it an ideal size for a baby blanket or small throw. The "mini CAL" designation indicates this is a smaller-scale version of a Crochet-Along project, perfect for crafters looking to complete a colorful blanket without an extensive time commitment.
Crochet Techniques and Construction
This pattern is classified as an easy difficulty level, making it suitable for beginners and those new to crochet projects. The design utilizes fundamental crochet techniques that build essential skills while creating a visually striking finished piece. The blanket incorporates color work throughout its construction, requiring crafters to work with multiple yarn colors in a coordinated sequence to achieve the tropical sunset aesthetic.

The Tropical Sunset Baby Blanket mini CAL requires the following materials for completion:
- Hook Size: 4 mm (size G) crochet hook
- Yarn Weight and Quantity: Approximately 1106 yards (1027.5 meters or 405 grams total) of DK weight yarn

Yarn Specifications
The pattern was designed using Aldi So Crafty DK yarn in multiple coordinating colors. DK weight yarn is a lightweight option that creates a soft, drape-friendly fabric ideal for baby blankets. The specific yarn recommendation provides guidance on fiber content and yardage, though crafters may substitute other DK weight yarns of similar yardage and weight. The five-color palette creates the tropical sunset effect through strategic color placement and transitions throughout the blanket.
Finishing Details
Completing the Tropical Sunset Baby Blanket mini CAL involves weaving in yarn ends using a yarn needle, a standard finishing technique in crochet projects. This step secures all color changes and loose ends, creating a polished, professional-looking blanket suitable for gifting or personal use.
