Cubics are the best most comfortable needles for hands with issues like arthritis and trigger finger. However as the needles are made from laminated woods they can brake (split) i have had two pairs split so far and manufacturers are reluctant to replace as faulty so I have to keep buying more

I love these - they make knitting faster, especially with 'difficult' yarns, as there is always space under the stitch to get the other needle in, because of the square cross section.
