The hat features a distinctive cable pattern and is topped with a large pom pom for added visual appeal.

Techniques and Construction

This hat is constructed using the bottom-up method, beginning with ribbing at the base and working upward to the crown. The design employs a two-yarn held-together technique, where DK weight yarn is held together with lace weight yarn throughout the project. This creates a unique fabric with enhanced softness and drape. The pattern incorporates circular needle knitting for the body and transitions to double-pointed needles (DPNs) for the crown shaping, a standard method for closing the top of a hat seamlessly.
